The highlight of the weekend was our Grand Milonga at the exquisite venue of the Mayfair Hotel. The arriving guests were greeted by the sound of our signature tune 'la mionga del corazón' accompanied by the popping sound of champagne corks. El Pájaro & Claudia treated us to an exhibition as they danced to Donato, Rodriguez and Tipica Victor, if you weren't lucky enough to be there on the night you can click on the video links below to see the performances.
After the show we brought out the media lunas and coffee to give the guests the energy to get through the last hours of dancing. A great night was had by all!
Workshops packages were held over the weekend in both Milonga and Tango, giving our guests the chance to learn the dance of El Pájaro & Claudia.

Our main event was held in the fantastic Spegelsalen of HIPP. Arriving at the splendid venue the guests could either choose to take the three flights of marble stairs or ride in Malmö’s oldest operational elevator to the Spegelsal on the third floor. Once in the old hall our guests were greeted by the popping sound of champagne corks as we served champagne to help set the mood for the evening. La Diva was on hand to supply the music in her usual flamboyant style and it wasn’t long before the hall was full of happy dancing feet.
The highlight of the evening was at midnight when Pablo and Noelia performed to an ecstatic crowd treating the Corazón guests to a fantastic exhibition of top-class tango. After the show it was time for the Corazón tradition of serving our guests media lunas and coffee as the ardent few showed their Chacera skills. Then it was back to the tunes of Dárienzo, Fresedo, Callo and Donato to round of the wonderful night.
Workshops were held over the weekend in the categories of Tango, Milonga and Pablo and Noelia’s Special Tricks.

LMDC returned in October 2009 in an expanded format as we decided to host a showcase couple alongside our main guests. The ‘showcase’ idea was to give two local/European dancers who have inspired us on many occasions the chance to inspire our guests with their fantastic social dance. We also had a fifth guest as we were finally able to lure Osky Casas to Sweden for the first time to teach and DJ at our event.
LMDC3 kicked off with a new event, a special VIP evening giving our workshop participants the chance to meet and socialize with the teachers before the serious events of the weekend got under way. La Diva was on the decks and the place was soon buzzing with excitement and anticipation as the first steps of LMDC3 were taken. The dancing was accompanied by wine, hour dourves and chit-chat for the hungry, thirsty and sociable. All-in-all it turned out to be the perfect start to a great weekend and the VIP evening might just become an essential part of future LMDC events.
Our warm-up event ‘Palpitando’ on the Friday was held at the splendid venue of Tangoplatset where the guests were treated to a show by our very own Ellinor Westrup from Malmö and Vladimir Vereschagin from Moscow - the LMDC3 showcase couple. Palpitando was given an extra magical touch by the music of Osky Casas our guest DJ.
Our main event La Milonga Del Corazón had a lot to live up to after the first two fabulous evenings but with the United Church as the venue and Federico Naveira and Inés Muzzopappa ready to perform on Saturday night, we were not worried. This eagerly awaiting night began as usual with champagne for the early arrivals, a tradition for La Milonga Del Corazón to get our guests into the luxurious, extravagant mood to match the evening to come. Time flies when you are having fun and before long it was midnight and time for the show. Inés and Federico were totally mesmerizing, especially their rendition of Dárienzo’s ‘Trago Amargo’ - you really had to be there to witness the magic – but you can catch it on you tube if you were unlucky enough to miss it. Vladimir our dancing Russian guest was the DJ for our main event and in his inevitable flamboyant style he kept the dancing masses happy well into the night and helped make it a night to remember for a very long time.
The traditional weekend workshops were expanded this time as Federico and Inés offered 6 hours of seminars at two different levels, Vladimir and Ellinor offered 6 workshops and Osky Casas held Leader’s Technique classes. So many choices so little time!

Our cozy concept Los Diablos Del Corazón was an event we held to round of our first year and thank all of our guests for supporting us. We had the pleasure of hosting El Chino and Mariana for this event and among other things they taught is the true meaning of the word ‘grounded’.
The Los Diablos Del Corazón milonga was held in the beautiful setting of an old church which was originally a nightclub called ‘Little Hell’, very fitting for our two devilish guests.
